Julia's Homemade Sweets
Julia's Homemade Sweets was started last summer by 14 year-old Northfield resident, Julia Hagen, who liked to bake. Her sweets got such rave reviews that she decided to bake Christmas cookies for charity and sent out an e-mail to friends. Her orders totaled over $3,600 and she donated over $1,000 to Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois. Another Sweets for Charity campaign is planned for Valentine's Day featuring Julia's very sought after Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls.
